Day Camp at Summerside
All the Sides of Summer!
Summerside Day Camp is our 10-week day camp program built especially for campers in pre-k through grade 5. Each week is themed with exciting activities and games, ranging from superhero water challenges to Olympic games and talent shows. All campers enrolled in Day Camp will be grouped by similar age and spend the majority of their day with those campers.
Each week of camp is about FUN! We take full advantage of SCH Academy's 62-acre campus—both indoors and out. Campers will play, learn, and grow throughout their week(s) participating in Art, Music, Sports, Swimming, and Outdoor Adventures, including our amazing ropes course and utilizing the beautiful Wissahickon Woods. Take a dip, play a song, swing from a tree, score a goal, and create an artistic masterpiece all during our Day Camp offerings. Weekly themes are woven into each area of camp, making each week a unique experience full of possibilities and joy.
Please note: Pre-K campers must be 3 years old by September 2025 to enroll.

Week 1
June 8-12: Adventure Awaits

Description: Welcome to the start of an unforgettable summer! This week, campers will dive into all the excitement camp has to offer—meeting new friends, exploring favorite activities, and discovering what makes camp so special. Through scavenger hunts, team challenges, and outdoor adventures, we’ll set the stage for a season full of fun, friendship, and exploration. The summer adventure begins now—and it starts right here at camp!
Week 2
June 15-18 (off June 19*): Space Race
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: TBD (prorated)
Description: 3…2…1…blast off! Campers will shoot for the stars in a week filled with intergalactic games, space-themed crafts, and science experiments that are out of this world. Whether you’re designing a rocket, exploring distant “planets,” or racing to complete cosmic missions, this week is stellar fun for everyone! *Please note camp will be closed on June 19. Tuition will be pro-rated accordingly.
Week 3
June 22-26: Mystery
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: TBD
Description: Something mysterious is happening at camp! Campers will become detectives as they solve puzzles, follow clues, and crack codes to uncover hidden secrets. From scavenger hunts to mystery missions, this week is all about curiosity, teamwork, and sharp thinking. Can you solve the camp mystery?

Description: Push your limits in a week packed with friendly competitions and minute-to-win-it games! Campers will face fun physical and mental challenges designed to build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of achievement. Every day brings a new challenge—do you have what it takes? *Please note camp will be closed on July 3. Tuition will be pro-rated accordingly.
Week 5
July 6-10: Mess Fest
Grades: PK-5th

Description: Get ready for a week of wild, wonderful, and scientific mess-making! Campers will mix, pour, and experiment their way through colorful creations — from slime labs and fizzy explosions to paint splatter art and splashy outdoor fun. As we explore the science behind the mess, campers will discover how curiosity and creativity go hand in hand. Bring your sense of adventure (and maybe an extra shirt)—this week, we’ll learn by getting gloriously messy!
Week 6
July 13-17: Super Duper Superhero
Grades: PK-5th

Description: It’s time to unleash your inner hero! Campers will create their own superhero identities, design capes and masks, and test their powers through exciting games and rescue missions. With courage, creativity, and teamwork, every camper can be a hero!
Week 7
July 20-26: Camp Carnival
Grades: PK-5th

Description: Step right up! Camp transforms into a carnival full of games, prizes, and festive fun. Campers will enjoy classic fair-style activities, colorful crafts, and maybe even create their own mini carnival game for friends and families to enjoy! It’s a week of laughter, cotton-candy vibes, and big-top excitement!

Week 8
July 27-31: Battle of the Bunks
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: TBD
Description: It’s bunk versus bunk in the ultimate week of friendly competition! Teams will earn points through games, relays, and creative challenges. Sportsmanship, spirit, and teamwork are the keys to victory. Who will win the Battle of the Bunks and claim the camp trophy?
Week 9
August 3-7: Seas the Adventure
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: TBD
Description: Ahoy, mateys! Set sail on a week of sea-inspired adventures. Campers will search for hidden treasure, build pirate ships, and dive into underwater fun with mermaid magic and ocean crafts. Get ready for splashing, storytelling, and a wave of excitement!
Week 10
August 11-15: Summerside SHOW!
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: TBD
Description: Lights, camera, action—let's close the summer with a BANG! This week, campers take center stage as they create and perform their own camp show. From acting and talents to set design and costumes, everyone has a role to play. Don't miss the Summerside Show where creativity and teamwork are celebrated in a grand performance for families and friends. Everyone's a star in this end-of-summer show!
