Day Camp at Summerside
All the Sides of Summer!
Summerside Day Camp is our 10-week day camp program built especially for campers in pre-k through grade 5. Each week is themed with exciting activities and games, ranging from superhero water challenges to Olympic games and talent shows.
Each week of camp is about FUN! We take full advantage of SCH Academy's 62-acre campus—both indoors and out. Campers will play, learn, and grow throughout their week(s) participating in Art, Music, Sports, Swimming, and Outdoor Adventures, including our amazing ropes course and utilizing the beautiful Wissahickon Woods. Take a dip, play a song, swing from a tree, score a goal, and create an artistic masterpiece all during our Day Camp offerings. Weekly themes are woven into each area of camp, making each week a unique experience full of possibilities and joy.
Please note: Pre-K campers must be 3 years old by September 2023 to enroll. All campers enrolled in Day Camp will be grouped by similar age and spend the majority of their day with those campers.

Week 1
June 10-14: Wild, Wild Wissahickon
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: $425
Description: Explore the wild and wonderful wilderness in our backyard. Track wild animals, try to complete our scavenger hunt, and learn what’s possible in the wild world of the Wissahickon Woods.
Week 2
June 17-21 (off June 19): Dino-Mite
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: $340
Description: Join us for some jurassic-sized fun as we play dinosaur games, dig for fossils, create dinosaurs, and enjoy all things dino! This week will be full of paleontological surprises as we all get our dino on.
Week 3
June 24-28: Magnificent Mythology
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: $425
Description: Come and explore the world of mythical monsters and magical beasts, unicorns, centaurs, griffins, and maybe even a manticore. Come on a hero's journey through mythical adventure and fun in this fantastic week of legendary fun.
JULY 1-26, 2024

July 1-3 (off July 4 & 5):
Backyard Bonanza!
Grades: PK-5th
Cost: $255
Description: Celebrate Independence Day with a short week full of backyard fun. You'll play ladder ball, horseshoes, and all kinds of weekend games, with a Summerside twist of course! Camp will be closed July 4 and July 5. All tuition is prorated for the week.
Week 5
July 8-12: Super Duper Superhero
Grades: PK-5th
Cost: $425
Description: Calling all Superheroes! Become Superman, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, or Wonder Woman. Discover your own superpowers and dress as your own superhero in our Superhero Parade.
Week 6
July 15-18: Around the World
Grades: PK-5th
Cost: $425
Description: Travel around the world with us during our World Tour Week. Solve mysteries from the other side of the globe, play games from far-off countries, and get your passport stamped as the adventure unfolds.
Week 7
July 22-26: Mad Scientists
Grades: PK-5th
Cost: $425
Description: Get your goggles and your gloves ready! This week will explore the amazing scientific world, come experiment and explore as we create elephant toothpaste, gigantic bubbles, and so much more. See you all in the mad science lab.
July 29-August 16, 2024
Week 8
July 29-August 2: Summerside Olympics
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: $425
Description: Long jump, relays, camper and counselor events, and the Olympic parade: Join us as we celebrate the spirit of competition and sportsmanship as we compete in Olympic-inspired events with a Summerside spin. Run, jump, throw, and cheer as we work towards our culminating Olympics Celebration.
Week 9
August 5-9: Ocean Wonders
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: $425
Description: Set sail on the high seas, or venture into the deep as we explore the wonderful ocean world. Build your group's boat for our annual regatta; see how big a giant squid really is, and learn about all the wonders the ocean has in its deepest recesses.
Week 10
August 12-16: Summerside SHOW!
Grades: PK-5th | Cost: $425
Description: Let’s close the summer with the BANG! Bring your talents and share them with everyone throughout the week. And don’t miss the Summerside SHOW, produced and performed by our own campers and staff. Everyone’s a star in this year’s show!
