ABOUT THE TEAM

SCH squash teams have enjoyed a long tradition of fielding very competitive teams. Over the years, the school hasseen its teams rise to the highest level of high school squash. Many players on both the boys and girls teams have gone on to play at some of the best colleges in the country—Princeton, Dartmouth, University of Virginia, Yale, George Washington, Amherst, and many others.

SCH competes in the very competitive Inter-Ac and MASA Leagues, widely considered to be two of the strongest leagues in the country, and typically competes in High School Nationals every season.

Moustafa “Moose” Bayoumy took over as director of the SCH squash program in 2022 and comes to the school with a distinguished career as a player and coach, Including Champion titles at the French, Dutch, and German Opens.

Moose was a St. Lawrence University student-athlete, where he was named All-American four times and helped his team finish in the top four at the College Squash Association (CSA) championships all four years. After graduating, he served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the University of Virginia Men’s and Women’s Squash team before landing in Philadelphia where he has been coaching elite, internationally ranked players. The players Moose coaches include Philadelphia's own Olivia Fiechter who is ranked #11 in the world. He holds Level I and Level II U.S. Squash Coaching Certifications.
