Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Ice Hockey competes in the Independence Hockey League against strong regional programs including Germantown Academy, Episcopal Academy, Academy of the New Church, Lawrenceville Prep JV, and Hill School JV.

Our team practices and plays at Wissahickon Skating Club, conveniently located directly on SCH’s campus. Having a premier ice facility steps from our classrooms allows our student-athletes to balance academics and athletics seamlessly while creating a true campus-based hockey experience.

Our roster is comprised of young men and women with a wide range of experience - from developing players to accomplished club athletes from local programs such as Wissahickon Warriors, Genesis Hockey Club, and Snider Hockey. We are committed to expanding opportunities and welcoming dedicated student-athletes from across the region who are looking to compete, grow, and contribute to a team-first culture.

On the ice, we emphasize structure, discipline, and accountability. Every player understands their role and is developed to execute within a cohesive system. Off the ice, our program includes structured strength training, full team video breakdowns, and individualized film review sessions designed to accelerate development and deepen hockey IQ.

We pride ourselves on being a close-knit program where coaches know their players well and are actively involved in their development throughout the year. Coaches support their student-athletes beyond the school season, including attending local games and remaining engaged in the regional hockey community.
