The JV soccer program is intended to be an extension of the varsity team in that developing a student's character and emotional identity is essential to our program's philosophy and vital to a student's development as a soccer player. Additionally, the JV team operates as a feeder program for the varsity, where promising young players may train with varsity but play most games with JV. This system of "swinging" players from varsity to JV and back again allows our student-athletes to gain experience, while also allowing them to mature.

Moreover, as a competitive, interscholastic activity, the JV soccer team structures its training in developing skills and team concepts that are second nature to those involved with the varsity team. The Athletic Department also supports the idea that at the JV level, all students participate in every game; however, playing time is determined by performance on a daily basis at practice.
