SCH Academy Athletics Program
ATHLETIC PHILOSOPHY
The SCH Athletic Department seeks to provide each student with a sense of affiliation, motivation, and accomplishment by balancing challenge and demand with support and encouragement. Above all, we ask our athletes to win and lose with class and dignity and hold them to the highest standards of sportsmanship.
Our coaching staff is committed to fostering confidence, decision-making skills, a sense of responsibility, and leadership—qualities that will serve our student-athletes well throughout life.
In alignment with SCH's mission, the athletic department will host ongoing, continuing education opportunities for student-athletes, parents, and coaches.
SCH Academy is one of 9 schools that participate in the Inter-Academic League (Inter-Ac) that traces back to 1887 when select schools organized as the Inter-Academic Association of Private Schools of the State of Pennsylvania.
Watch games on hudl TV!
Upper School varsity competitions held in Maguire Stadium, Class of 2016 Turf Field, and the Vare & Kingsley gyms will be on Hudl livestream.
Watch varsity squash on McCausland courts 5 & 6 via ClubLocker & @SCHBlueDevils YouTube Channel (livestream available for specific matches).
We, the Heads and Athletic Directors of Inter-Ac schools, write you, our families, to partner with us to affirm sportsmanship as the expectation for our student athletes, coaches, spectators, and parents. Each of our schools will continue to display a banner that delineates our commitment to sportsmanship. It states: 'We are the Inter-Ac League where sportsmanship is the expectation. So please let: the players play, the coaches coach, the officials officiate, and the spectators be positive at all times.' These banners serve as reminders of our commitment to sportsmanship as a core value of the Inter-Ac League.
