A Virtual Trip to Mongolia: Return to the Darhad with Robert M. Peck '70
Bob Peck, Senior Fellow of the Academy of Natural Sciences, has escaped headhunters in the jungles of Ecuador, discovered three new species of frog in the Amazon, and helped David Attenborough and the BBC reach millions of people with award-winning films about the natural world. As a naturalist, historian, writer, and chronicler of expeditions, he has traveled widely to witness and record, among other subjects, the nomadic life of herding families on the steppes of Central Asia. Tonight we can share some of Bob’s adventures through a short (half hour) documentary film made about his seven expeditions to Mongolia and the remarkable photographs he has taken along the way. For anyone who enjoys remote travel, lively narrative, and beautiful photography, this will be an event worth sharing with your family.
