The Middle School varsity basketball program is intended as a competitive, interscholastic activity. Students at this level have the necessary skills to compete against other “A” level teams.
The MS varsity teams are competitive with playing time determined by performance on a daily basis. Athletes on these teams are ready to make the jump to high school athletics after their eighth grade year. Individual skills and team concepts are developed and strengthened.
There were new champions at Norwood Fontbonne Academy’s long-running Snowball tournament, as the St. Philip Neri School boys team and the girls of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy emerged victorious from last week’s five-day event.
