Five students are recognized as "Athletes of the Week" for the week ending 2/3/19
Matt Bown '19 - varsity squash - won 3 of 4 matches at the US Squash HS Nationals to help the team to a 2-2 record and 11th place finish at the division I level. Matt came back from down 3-9 to win the last match to give his team the win.
Tommy Scanlin '20 - varsity "B" Squash - won all four of his matches at the US Squash HS Nationals to help his team to a 2-2 record and a 7th place finish at the division III level. Tommy played his best squash of the season.
Lucy Pearson '22 - varsity squash - won all four of her matches at the US Squash HS Nationals to help her team to a 2-2 record and an 11th place finish at the division I level. She is 6-3 in the regular season, and her coach describes her as a fighter with a great positive attitude at practices and matches.
Joe Cassidy '22 - varsity wrestling - in just his first year of wrestling Joe had two huge wins by pin to help his team. In a tight Inter-Ac battle with Episcopal, Joe won by fall over his opponent, and in a tight match against Springfield he also won by fall. Joe has an terrific work ethic.
Andrew Mahoney '24 - wrestling - went 2-0 against Episcopal Academy to help the team to a dual meet win. Andrew is a hard worker who always gives his best in practices and competitions.
