Project Goals

“Our new building will be designed for today’s SCH learners, who are engaged in independent and group activities, self-directed learning, outdoor experiences, interdisciplinary projects, and designing, building, and prototyping.”

Build a new, contemporary, educational facility housing boys and girls (grades Pre-K through 4) that supports a challenging and rigorous curriculum both inside and outside the classroom.

Design spaces that encourage curiosity, independent and group activities, self-directed learning, and interdisciplinary projects.

Optimize the outdoor learning opportunities available through the natural resources of the surrounding Wissahickon Valley.

Strengthen the learning communities that distinguish our program by situating Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools in their own spaces.

Improve safety and reduce on-street traffic congestion by building a new bus/car loop and parking lot on the Cherokee Campus.
