The Blue Devils lost to Germantown 42-38 in another last minute thriller
After Aaron Rascoe scored twice and Ke'Shwn Williams scored it was 21-0 SCH with 5:23 left in the 2nd quarter. It looked like it might be an easy afternoon. However the visiting Patriots had other ideas and scored twice while the Blue Devils scored once more to make the score 28-14 SCH at intermission.
After Brian Hennessey hit a field goal it was 31-14 SCH. With 11:34 left GA scored twice more to close the gap to 31-28. The Patriots went up 35-31 but Williams scored another TD to put the Devils back on top at 38-35. A final GA drive led to a TD and a 42-38 score ultimately giving GA the win as the Blue Devils could not score.
Rascoe finished with 136 yards on 25 carries while Williams had 94 on 11 rushes. AJ Graham ran 9 times for 56 yards. Graham threw for 151 yards on a 11 of 20 day. Williams caught 6 balls for 117 yards. Ivan Thorpe caught 4 for 31 yards.
On defense, Rascoe lead the team with 8 tackles with Thorpe having 5 while Luke Percy and Williams had 4 each.
The Devils drop to 6-2 on the year and 1-2 in the Inter-Ac. They finish the season with trips to Penn Charter and Malvern Prep.
