Six outstanding athletes and one team are the latest addition to the Springside School and Chestnut Hill Academy Athletic Halls of Fame
Every three years the Springside School and Chestnut Hill Academy Athletic Halls of Fame come together to recognize the contributions and achievements of exceptional athletes, teams, and coaches with a lasting tribute.

The inductees—many of whom were distinguished in multiple sports—were honored for their distinguished athletic careers and contributions to the school. Nominated by their peers and elected by committee, honorees will have a permanent home in the school’s two Halls of Fame.

In 2017, the Springside Class of 1967 helped facilitate the makeover of the Springside Lois Fernley McNeil Athletic Hall of Fame in memory of Anne Wieland Spaeth ’54. It can be found on the second floor of the Vare Field House. This year, Chestnut Hill Academy’s Athletic Hall of Fame, in the Athletic Complex, will be refurbished in memory of Jack Plunkett H’92, a beloved teacher, coach, mentor and honorary alumnus.
