Baseball Wins Inter-Ac Championship!

The Blue Devils defeated Penn Charter 5-0 to win the Inter-Ac Championship
The last time SCH won the Inter-Ac baseball championship outright was in 1989. The team had a share of the title in 2016 so this 2019 championship, after 30 years was all the sweeter. The Devils knew they had at least a share of the title with Haverford before the game, but as was the case all season, these Devils would not be denied.

SCH put across 2 runs in the 1st and 2 more in the 2nd before adding an insurance run in the 6th. Carter Davis threw a terrific game as he spread out just 3 hits to the Quakers while striking out 7 and walking 4. Offensively, Jon Bautista hit a double to drive in 2 runs while Pat Elliott had a huge day with 3 hits, 2 RBIs and crossing the plate. Scott Bandura, Brandon Gibbs and Nasir Jackson all had hits with Bandura driving in a run. Bandura, Jared Sprague-Lott, Cole McNeil, and Jackson all scored runs.

The Devils finished the season with an 8-2 Inter-Ac record and 15-10 overall and are seeded at #1 in the upcoming PAISAA Tournament.

Before the game, SCH honored their 8 seniors with a framed action shot and flowers. Thank you to a very special senior class for your commitment and effort to Blue Devil Baseball. Sam Aslanson, Mason Banks, Carter Davis, Pat Elliott, Brandon Gibbs, Jahli Hendricks, Cole McNeil, and Josh Niebish you will be missed!
