Kioko & Sweitzer Honored with Inter-Ac AD Award

Simon Kioko and Delaney Sweitzer were honored with the 2019 Inter-Ac Athletic Director's Award
All nine Inter-Ac schools were hosted by Agnes Irwin School on Wednesday night for the annual Inter-Ac Athletic Director's Award dinner. The award, originally named in honor of Aimee Willard, began as just a female award. However, over the years, the award changed to the Athletic Director's Award and for the first time ever, the league decided to also honor male student-athletes.

The Inter-Ac Athletes Director's Award is given by the league in honor of past athletic directors. It is presented annually to a senior who has been a multi-sport varsity athlete and has exemplified the following characteristics - dedication to their team and school, outstanding representative of the Inter-Ac League, leadership and sportsmanship. Coed schools will honor one boy and one girl and single sex schools will honor one athlete.

Simon competed on the cross country, wrestling and tennis teams. He was a captain of the wrestling and tennis teams, finishing with 116 wins and three trips to the national prep tournament as a wrestler and recently led the tennis team to a  2nd place finish in the Inter-Ac. He will attend the University of Pittsburgh.

Delaney was captain and standout for the field hockey and lacrosse teams. She is one of the  top lacrosse goalies in the country and was named by Under Armour as a wave 1 top 11 All American. She will attend the University of Southern California.

Congratulations to Simon and Delaney, we are so very proud of your accomplishments! Thank you for representing SCH so well.
