Girls and Boys Lacrosse Win at Katie Samson Festival

Both Blue Devil Lacrosse Teams won their games at the KSF
The Girls team defeated Wissahickon  12-10. All players competed and pitched in to a total team effort. Riley Redpath and Savannah Sweitzer each put in 5 goals and added an assist. Dakota Carter and Brooke Prochniak both added goals. Sweitzer, Kianah Watson, Caroline Reitmeyer and Carter all controlled multiple draws. Hannah Knox stood out. Delaney Sweitzer stopped 15 shots.

The Boys defeated Springford HS 11-8. Ethan Gyllenhaal scored 5 goals, Matt Bown put in 4, while Ricky Amorim and Luke Neverosky each found the back of the net once. Bown added 3 assists with Fitz Mclaughlin 2 and Ben Tishgart 1. Bern Popky stopped 10 shots. Tishgart and company won 15 face-offs.

This is the 19th year of the Katie Samson Lacrosse Festival and they have raised 1.9 million for the Katie Samson Foundation which helps fund spinal cord research and rehabilitation. Congratulations and thank you to both of our teams for participating in the festival.
