Girls Lacrosse in Exciting Win over Germantown

The Girls Lacrosse team defeated a tough Germantown Academy team 11-10
The Blue Devils came to play and went up 6-1 before ending the first half up 7-4. Germantown was able to crawl back but was too little too late as SCH came away with an 11-10 Inter-Ac win.

Brooke Prochniak led the offense with 4 goals and went 3 for 3 on draw controls. Ashley Lynch and Cait Brook both scored 2 goals while Savannah Sweitzer, Riley Redpath, and CeCe Reilly all scored 1 with Reilly adding 3 helpers and Redpath and Sweitzer 1.  S. Sweitzer and Brook helped control the midfield as they won a combined 5 draw controls and 6 groundballs. 

Defensively, Delaney Sweitzer was stellar in the goal as she stopped 17 shots, made 10 interceptions and cleared the ball well. Abbie Rorke and Brooke Gyllenhaal combined for 8 groundballs and 2 interceptions. Coach Powell called the team win a great collective, gritty effort. The Blue Devils are now 6-6 overall and 2-4 in the Inter-AC. 

SCH hosts Notre Dame on 4/23.
