Boys Lacrosse play at University of Maryland

The Blue Devils played Archbishop Spalding at the University of Maryland's Capital One Field
Coaches Brian Dougherty and Matt Rambo went back home to the University of Maryland as their Blue Devil Lacrosse Team competed against Archbishop Spalding on Saturday. Before SCH took the field they watched the Terrapins play against Villanova. An extra treat was getting the chance to watch SCH alum and current Terrapin Mat Rahill play for UMaryland. 

The Blue Devils played a good team in Archbishop Spalding and the action went back and forth with the Blue Devils up 5-3 after the 1st and the game tied at halftime 5-5. The score was 8-8 to start the 4th but the host Cavaliers pulled away in the 4th to win 11-8.

Ethan Gyllenhaal led the offense with 3 goals and an assist. Also scoring goals were Luke Neverosky, Fitz Mclaughlin, Jack Myers, Matt Bown,  and Ben Tishgart. McLaughlin, Bown, and Harry Sweitzer all added helpers. Bern Popky stopped 5 shots whlie Tyler Guzik stopped 6.

The Blue Devils travel to St. Joe's Prep on 2/22.
