The Blue Devils won an exciting overtime game against ANC to win a spot in the league championship
The Blue Devils defeated #2 seed and host ANC 6-5 to earn a spot in the Independence Hockey League final against Germantown Academy. At ANC Ethan Gyllenhaal had 4 goals including the game winner in overtime which was assisted by James Norpel. James's brother, Brooks also found the back of the net. Gyllenhaal had two helpers while Hayden Stephan and Eva Hamel also assisted. Liam Peterson did a great job in the goal as he stopped 28 shots.
The next day SCH took on Germantown Academy who had defeated #4 seed Episcopal 4-0 to earn their trip to the championship. The Blue Devils played with just 9 skaters against GA's 13 but did a remarkable job losing 3-7. The entire team was relentless while Stephan and Gyllenhaal deserve recognition as they seldom if at all left the ice all afternoon. Liam Peterson did a super job in the goal.
Congratulations to Coaches Baer and Sachs and the Blue Devils, we are very proud of how you represented SCH! The team finishes the season at 6-5-1.
