Barbara Crawford Gallery Curator Proposal: Guidelines & Information

The Barbara Crawford Art Gallery (BCG) is an art gallery on the campus of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (SCH) in Philadelphia. The BCG, named in honor of a legendary art teacher at Chestnut Hill Academy, was established in 2000. Crawford profoundly influenced the lives of hundreds of students with her passion for teaching and love of art. The gallery serves as an important teaching tool, offering our students the opportunity to experience a diverse range of artwork through rotating shows by significant area artists.

The goal of our exhibition roster is to inspire and encourage dialogue amongst all members of both the SCH and the surrounding community.

The following details and best practices of the exhibition process should be referenced when submitting a proposal to the BCG Gallery Planning Committee. We invite our entire community including faculty, staff, and outside curators from Philadelphia area galleries and institutions to submit proposals.
