Horizons Giving Day at SCH

Horizons giving day is May 12!

Horizons at SCH is funded through donations from individuals and foundations, and we’re grateful to be almost fully funded for the first year. As a new partner to the national program, we have the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to the partnership during Horizons Giving Day, May 12, 2021. Please consider making a gift to help the program flourish in the first year and beyond.

Horizons Mission statement

The mission of Horizons Greater Philadelphia is to change the life trajectory of students from under-resourced communities by providing opportunities for them to find joy in learning, gain academic and social skills, and realize their full potential. As children grow from kindergarten through high school, Horizons’ out-of-school time academic and enrichment programs transform young lives by providing a safe and encouraging space for kids to experience success.

Horizons: Inspiring. Building. Transforming.
A tuition-free summer experience to strengthen your child’s academic skills
and opportunities for the future

Resources

We are so pleased to be partnering with Houston’s principal, LeRoy Hall Jr., and his team to make this excellent program available to Houston students. Our mission as a school is to encourage unbounded curiosity and independent thought, and I can’t think of a better program or better partner school to align with in fulfilling these goals for these students.
