SCH parent social & fundraiser to benefit the commons

hosted by the Parents association

The Parents Association Fundraiser is an annual event that brings together adult members of the SCH community to socialize and raise essential funds for the school. This year’s event, For the Love of PHILAnthropy, will support the Campaign for the Commons.

Join us for an exciting evening of Philadelphia-themed fun (look out for the pop-up Reading Terminal and Free Library!) including our city's favorite yum & sip jawns, live jazz music, Sixers/Phillies/Eagles-themed games, an incredible silent auction, and robust raffle (see below). It promises to be a lively, community-engaged evening. We look forward to celebrating in and around the Willow Grove Commons. “Festive casual” attire is recommended—feel free to show your Philly pride!

See the options below to purchase event tickets and patron packages, enter to win raffle basket(s), preview the silent auction items, and learn more about how you can support the Campaign for the Commons. We look forward to celebrating our wonderful SCH community with you soon!

Community partners, Philanthropy + Phun!

The Parents Association is proud to partner with these parent volunteer groups to further celebrate our extended Philadelphia community and increase our philanthropic impact during this year’s PA fundraiser.

Service Council

The parent Service Council will be collecting books for Horizons at SCH. Families are encouraged to bring a few used or new books with them to the event. Horizons students will enjoy these books during their 6-week enrichment session at SCH and then will be able to take a few books home at the end of the summer. Your donation will help build local students’ literacy skills.

Arts Council & Diversity Parent Resource Network (DPRN)

Sponsored by the Jamie Bell '78 Music Fund, our Arts Department has invited Hailey Brinnel (and the Hailey Brinnel Quintet) to perform at the event on April 22. In addition, the Arts Council and DPRN will be co-hosting a mural painting initiative featuring Keith Haring's We The Youth, which celebrates diversity, community, and collaboration.

Blue Devils Club

Finally, our Blue Devils Club has thrown in an extra-special silent auction item of "All Star Coaching" (see the description in the auction items below). Check out the opportunity for private coaching for your student(s) from SCH's own (in baseball, basketball, crew, football, lacrosse, soccer, and squash). Keep them all for yourself or bid with friends!
