Program information
The Early Childhood Center (ECC) is for children aged 18 months to 4 years for five days a week. Please scroll down for tuition rates and more.
Daily Hours for ECC: Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Drop-off is between 7:30-8:45 AM. Pick-up is at 3:00 PM.
After Care for ECC: Monday to Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM
A typical day at ECC
7:30-9:00 AM: Children arrive and play freely in Reggio Emilia centers.
9:00-9:30 AM: Children and teachers gather for circle time. This time drives the activities for the day, i.e. stories read and questions posed. Children move to center exploration.
9:30-10:00 AM: Small-group activities (environmental art projects and/or music & movement).
10:00-11:00 AM: Snack and outdoor recess (weather permitting).
11:00-12:00 PM: Child work on projects independently, in small groups without teachers or small groups with teachers. They may rotate outside for nature exploration. Clean up and meet to share morning activities with class.
12:00 PM: Set table spots and prepare rest mats & cots. Children have lunch (parents provide a packed lunch from home).
12:30-1:00 PM: As children finish their lunches they clean up, wash hands, and prepare to rest (with soft music and/or audio story).
1:00-2:30 PM: Rest time and slow wake-up (non-nappers will engage in quiet time activities or rest on mat).
2:30-3:00 PM: Snack and children have outdoor time or free play.
3:00-3:15 PM: Pick-up for non-after care children.
3:30-6:00 PM: After care where children may choose a Reggio Emilia center such as art, imaginative play, literacy, science/sensory, or develop a project of their own.
Meals: morning and afternoon snack are provided and vary each day. Packed lunch is provided daily by child's family/guardian.
