After Care & Enrichment

After care information

ACE is open to students in grades Pre-K to 5, Monday through Friday, after the school day ends until 6:00 PM. This does not include SCH holidays (some exceptions apply and will be posted / emailed to after care families). Please see our ACE rates below (drop Monthly after care options are available for families needing flexibility month to month.

We ask families to pick students up no later than 6:00 PM. Late fees will be charged for pick-ups after 6 PM. Pick-up is in the main lobby of the McCausland Lower School building. Parents can park on the circle loop after 3:30 PM.

After Care Programming

All ACE offerings are supported by SCH best practices and executed with alignment to our core values: Integrity, Courage, Diversity, Thoughtfulness & Resilience.

ACE is a coed program and students will participate in outdoor activities this academic year utilizing SCH’s many, unique open-air spaces (weather dependent). SCH's after care provides a safe place for students in grades Pre-K to 5 to play with friends, recess games, craft, or get a head start on their homework.

ACE runs from 3:30-6:00 PM in the Lower School building from the first day of school through the last day of classes (September to June).
The below rates are for the full 2024-2025 academic year.

Enrichment Courses

Our enrichment courses for Pre-K to grade 5 students offer various engaging and academically stimulating activities that promote positive student development. These activities cover a range of subjects for different grade levels including STEM (i.e. FIRST LEGO® League, gardening, chess), arts & crafts (i.e. sewing, song-writing, cooking), recreational fun (i.e. yoga, squash, big shots) and more. Enrichments are offered seasonally, three times a year—fall, winter, and spring. Enrichments are scheduled extracurriculars where students can receive advanced academic instruction, enhance a passion, or discover new hobbies, interests, and activities outside the classroom setting.

Rates vary depending on the number of weeks (see a sampling of rates below).
Most enrichment courses run from 3:45-4:45 PM. There is no charge for after care before your student's program starts.

Enrichment classes are offered, but not guaranteed depending on enrollment/popularity/space.

NOTE: If your student is not already registered for ACE and your child is picked up before 4:00 PM there is a $10 charge. If you are not pre-registered and your child is picked up after 4:00 PM, there is a $40 charge. If your child is picked up after 6:05 PM there is a $1/minute fee.

ACE Days (select days when Lower School is closed): 7:45 AM-3:45 PM is $100/day per child.

An ACE charge will be extended to families for unanticipated, late pick-up as follows:

Picking up by 4 pm: $10
Picking up after 4 pm: $40
ACE late fees: pick-up after 6:05 PM, $1/minute
