Lit, the fall exhibition at the Barbara Crawford Gallery at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, will feature a small group of internationally known artists whose work reflects the themes found in the literature of SCH’s 9thgrade English curriculum. The series of books studied by freshmen revolve around the individual and societyand their understanding of themselves in relation to the world around them. Themes include personal enlightenment, personal development, civil disobedience, social justice and banned books.
There will be community engagement projects, poetry workshops, and an installation created by the entire student body, including faculty and staff.
The Opening Reception will include light snacks and an opportunity to hear from artists and exhibition curator.
