Update to *CANCELED* 9th & 10th Grade Parent College Night

Due to Covid-19, the on-campus program for 9th and 10th grade parents originally scheduled for the night of April 7th, will not be held.  However, we are working to arrange an interactive, online meeting with a guest speaker from the world of college admissions, later in April.  As soon as we have finalized this date, we will let all 9th and 10th grade parents know. For 10th grade parents specifically, each counselor—Brian Walter, bwalter@sch.org; Polly Kimberly, pkimberly@sch.org; Kim Krieger, kkrieger@sch.org—will also reach out to their assigned parents, inviting them to join in an online chat in later April.   We hope you and your families are well as we all grapple with these uncertain times. Please bear with us as we work to make this programming available to you.

    Damour Online: NEW DATE

    (Rescheduled from April 23)

"HOW TO MANAGE STRESS, ANXIETY, AND
    PARENTING UNDER COVID-19"

We are fortunate to have Dr. Lisa Damour joining us virtually to explain the psychological science that is key to understanding how stress and anxiety operate, both under everyday conditions and at times of heightened concern and disruption. Join us to learn more about:
    • how to keep pressure and tension from reaching toxic levels.
    • how to parent effectively in the current circumstances.
    • the most reliable strategies for managing ongoing stress.
Dr. Damour, a best-selling author, psychologist, and expert on stress and anxiety, regularly appears on CBS and is a columnist for the New York Times. She blends years of experience with the latest research developments to provide sound, practical guidance. See her website which includes several recent articles for the NYT: Lisa Damour, PhD.
