Artist Statement:

My love for music started and grew throughout my time at SCH. Beginning in the classroom of the fantastic Ms. Crowell in pre-kindergarten up until my time in the Upper School, I have explored music in every form. I started with the violin, branching out into steel drums and piano. Outside of the classroom, I have found my biggest musical love in singing and writing music. My fondest memory from my time in the SCH arts program is when I had the opportunity to record my original song “Tell Me” last year by means of the Jamie Bell Recording Project. My experience was incredible and I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from my teachers and professional studio musicians before exploring songwriting in college. My time in the SCH arts program has taught me many lessons, but the most valuable skills that I have acquired are perseverance, determination, and confidence in the arts. I hope to take these skills with me next year as I pursue my passion further as a Musicianship, Artistry Development, and Entrepreneurship major and Creative American Music minor at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
