Three SCHers Receive Letters of Commendation from National Merit Scholarship Program
Three SCH Academy students received Letters of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program (from left): seniors Nicholas Donato, Patrick Gaghan, and Dylan Kaplan.
The letters recognize these students for their "outstanding academic promise." They are among the top two-thirds of the approximately 50,000 high scorers of the qualifying tests. Commended students are eligible for Special Scholarships sponsored by corporations.
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. Approximately 1.5 million high school students enter the program each year.
