Three SCH Students are Chosen as National Merit Finalists

SCH’s three National Merit Semifinalists for 2023 have been chosen as Finalists: Shangchen Cai ’23, Qimou Song ’23, and Daniel O’Connor ’23. The Semifinalists submitted a scholarship application outlining their skills, accomplishments, activities, and leadership to be in the running to become a Finalist. About half of the Finalists are chosen to receive a National Merit Scholarship. 

In September, the three were chosen as Semifinalists and among the top one-third of about 50,000 high-scorers on qualifying tests (SATs, PSATs, or NMSQTs) in 2022. In addition, this past fall, four SCH Academy students received Letters of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program: Yichen Huang '23, Rohan Shetty '23, Caroline Foley '23, and Nathalie Taylor '23.
