SCH Robotics Team Demonstrates Robot on Live TV and at Global Forum

by Hope Kelly '25, Robotics Captain

This past Monday, the SCH robotics team, along with two representatives from the CEL program, had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Global Impact Forum: AI for Good Student Showcase. During this event, SCH Robotics Team 1218 proudly showcased its 2024 season robot, Swift, to an audience that included both fellow students and professionals. They even met Khalid Mumin, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Education (photo above). The forum provided an excellent platform for students to highlight their achievements and share insights into how AI and robotics can drive positive change.

Beyond the technical presentation, the showcase facilitated valuable networking opportunities. The SCH team connected with local Philadelphia-based tech companies, gaining exposure to industry professionals, potential sponsors, and future collaborators.

The team also demonstrated its robot on live TV in anticipation of The Wild Robot movie. Watch the Fox29 clip!
