Alumni Spotlight: Juan Castellanos ‘19

Dancing his way back into the spotlight, SCH is proud to share Juan Castellanos’ (Class of 2019) story about his emotional journey back to the stage after COVID, to perform “Then, Now, and Forever” for a live audience with the Charlotte Ballet. Anticipating a return to the stage and a passion for the arts helped keep Juan inspired during the pandemic. In his interview with North Carolina station WBTV, he talked about how he couldn’t wait to get the community excited about their upcoming show, in conjunction with the Charlotte Ballet’s 50th-anniversary. Juan’s love for ballet was always present while he attended SCH and kept him motivated and on top, earning SCH’s first Shield Award at graduation.
