SCH Junior Wins Gettysburg College Essay Contest

We are so proud to announce that junior Tobi Farbstein won first place in Gettysburg College's First Annual Georges Lieber Essay Contest on Resistance and will be receiving a $1,000 prize for her hard work. Her essay, Resisting the Tradition of Sexism, is published on Gettysburg's website and earned the following, exciting feedback:

"Your essay moved and impressed everyone of us with your mature insights, humility and smart writing. Like Georges, you fight for life and a better tomorrow. Your nuance and wisdom of what's at hand in fighting sexism awed us...Your strong voice wakes us, making us hopeful. Democracy needs strong voices to ensure discussion never ceases. Discussion isn't easy, it can be messy and challenging, but it is critical for democracy. You showed us that you are committed to ensuring discussion never ceases. Thank you!"

Congratulations, Tobi!
