SCH Hosts Zoom Presentation by CHOP Eating Disorder Clinic Specialists

We are fortunate to have world-class health care institutions in Philadelphia, and last night SCH introduced the community to an important resource, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Eating Disorder Clinic. Specialists Dr. Ellie Benner, Psy.D (Licensed Clinical Psychologist) and Amy Mack, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) presented comprehensive information about different kinds of eating disorders and physical, behavioral, and cognitive warning signs to be aware of as parents and caregivers. They debunked myths about the causes of these complex disorders and offered “do’s and don’ts” to encourage healthy eating habits.
