SCH Chess Team Holding First Place Following PAPSCL Tournament 

SCH Academy’s chess team maintained the first-place ranking status after hosting a Philadelphia Area Private Schools Chess League (PAPSCL) Chess Tournament this past weekend. Trailing behind SCH are Germantown Friends, Friends Select, and The Philadelphia School. Awards to students at SCH went to: Grayson Wright (gold); James Salara (bronze); Charlotte Snyder, pictured above, (bronze); and Nicholas Chapman (bronze).

Chess tournaments are hosted by Coach Ross Colby at SCH on select Saturdays during the academic year with opportunities for chess players of ALL levels to compete with peers from other local schools.
