One Year Later: Letters of Love to Ukraine

As the world marked one year of war in Ukraine, Middle School students in the 6th-grade Social Impact class wrote expressions of solidarity and support to their Ukrainian peers. Through this campaign, students—focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in class—took action on SDGs 16 - 17, "Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions" and "Partnership for the Goals."

One SCH student, who is Ukrainian, wrote, “I really hope the war ends soon. Where I am in America, we are all hoping for Ukraine. Do not feel alone. I am Ukrainian too and do not want my ancestors' home and part of my past to be erased. Even when times are hard, think about all the people that want this war to end. We stand with you and our people.”

The letters will be sent to the organization Letters of Love to Ukraine, which works with Frontier Horizon, Letters of Hope for Ukraine, and the United Nations Refugee Agency to distribute letters to Ukrainian children.
