Head of School Steve Druggan Returns to SCH

Dr. Steve Druggan returned to SCH as head of school in July, and this week he welcomed students back to campus. Druggan previously led SCH from 2016 to 2022 and was reappointed by the Board of Trustees in June 2024. He returns to Chestnut Hill after serving for three years as superintendent at the American School of Dubai and brings extensive international experience from leadership roles at Jakarta Intercultural School, Munich International School, and the American School of Milan. 

In a recent Philadelphia Business Journal piece, he said, "I’m here to serve the community and serve the school, draw out the best that it can be, and leave it better than I found it. It’s one relationship at a time, and treat people the way that they need to be treated to be their best. You need to love what you do, you need to listen, and then you need to lead and help people grow. But, there’s no secret, education is all about people."
