Hans Bode Plays his Way to Penn

This past fall and winter, senior Hans Bode performed as the violin soloist for Convocation and the senior ceremony, as well as for our own Middle School Boys Winter Concert held at St. Martin in the Fields Church. And in March, Hans wowed the audience during our Cum Laude Society (of which he is a member) Induction Ceremony with a virtuosic piano selection.

Hans committed to the University of Pennsylvania and plans to minor in music, join their orchestra, and audition for their music performance program.

“My favorite part about performing at SCH was definitely the solo opportunities I got, whether performing with the MSB choir or for Convocation. The only way to get over stage fright and nerves is to perform more and so being able to do this at school was so amazing. I am so grateful that during my time at SCH, I was so supported by the music faculty and given these amazing opportunities.”

This upcoming weekend, Hans can be seen performing at the Kimmel Center with the Delaware County Youth Orchestra under the baton of the Philadelphia Orchestra concertmaster, David Kim.
