Empty Bowl Dinner donations

As tradition around this time of year, SCH students donate beautiful, handcrafted bowls to the Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network (PIHN)'s Empty Bowl Dinner. This fundraiser is designed to serve as a reminder that, while we may be blessed with the resources to fill our bowls with nourishing food, many, including at least 1,000 children who are homeless every night in our city, face housing insecurity and hunger. Student artists at the school have supported this initiative for 20 years under the leadership of Middle School art teacher, Judy Callas. This year, 5th grade boys joined the project.
