Competitors from Germantown Friends School, The Philadelphia School, Friends Select School, and others joined SCH students from all divisions for two rounds of tournament competition. Congratulations to sophomores Max Greenbaum, who earned gold at the tournament; Alex Kim, who earned silver; Aaron Jia, who earned silver; and 3rd grader Shervin Medizad also earned gold.

Chess Tournaments are hosted by coach Ross Colby at SCH Academy on select Saturdays during the academic year, with opportunities for chess players of ALL levels to compete with peers from other local schools. More information and registration may be found here.
