Big Changes Coming This Summer: The Campus Quad

Exciting transformations are headed to SCH this summer! In a major step forward for our campus footprint, the paved space between the Commons and the Inn is undergoing a comprehensive renovation to become The Campus Quad—a modern, vibrant hub designed to elevate daily student life, wellness, and community connection. Thanks to the remarkable generosity of donors who supported the Parents Association's Down & Derby fundraiser, which raised more than $850,000, this vision is becoming a reality.

As the literal and figurative pulse of SCH, this central space is where our students dine, study, and gather. The upcoming redesign will transform it into a dynamic, inclusive, and student-centered environment that aligns with SCH’s mission. 

The renovations will include:

• Restored facade on the south-facing entrance of the Wissahickon Inn,
• An expanded flagstone porch outside the Inn,
• Multiple seating areas,
• A recreation terrace,
• Shaded learning areas,
• An amphitheater for class and performances,
• Gardens,
• And a new brick pathway.
