Last week, SCH's Robotics Team 1218 had an incredible showing at the Hatboro-Horsham district event. After an intense series of qualification matches, 1218 finished in 6th place, earning the team a spot in the elimination round as the captain of the 5th-seed alliance.

In addition to our strong performance on the field, we were thrilled to be recognized with the District Design Award, celebrating the creativity, innovation, and engineering excellence of our robot.

Looking ahead, we are excited to host an official FIRST Robotics Competition event right here on our campus, which will showcase the incredible talent and ingenuity of teams from across the region. The competition is open to the public, and we’d love for you to join us to cheer on Team 1218 and experience the excitement of live robotics in action. We will be hosting a room for kids ages 3-7 with Lego, and robotics-themed coloring pages as well. Support our team and witness the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that make FRC so special. (Hear Daniel Jacobs, chair of the Engineering and Robotics Department, talk about what goes into preparing for the competition here.) We hope to see you there!
