JoAnn & Jeff Chapman P'32, P'32

JoAnn and Jeff Chapman, P'32, P'32 have been a vital part of the SCH community since 2019, with twins currently in 6th grade.

This spotlight is the first in a series that shares why members of our SCH family invest in excellence and support our mission through The SCH Fund. We recently asked the Chapmans a few questions about their commitment.

In their own words:

What inspired you to support SCH through The SCH Fund?
The incredible opportunities afforded and magical experiences cultivated for students throughout their educational journey have and continue to be our inspiration in supporting SCH through The SCH Fund.

Was there a particular moment or experience that sparked your decision to give?
As a family, we believe strongly in the spirit of service and stewardship. As members of this dynamic school community, we are called to invest in and share our time, talents, and treasures as we support the “village” that enriches our children.

What impact do you hope your gift will have on students and the school?
We hope our gift assists in amplifying SCH’s mission to be an inclusive community that inspires unbounded curiosity and independent thought, celebrating diversity in voice and perspective, and not only allowing students to discover and develop their passions but also preparing students to create positive and thoughtful change in our world. We hope our gift aids in creating rich opportunities for all SCH students by supporting insightful programming and impactful initiatives.

What would you say to someone who is considering becoming a donor?
No matter how large or small the gift, surely every dollar generously donated to The SCH Fund not only supports the mission and goals of the school but also bolsters resources for all students in addition to strengthening our community. The option of designating one’s gift to a specific initiative and/or program provides a sense of immediate, impactful stewardship.

Do you have a favorite quote or piece of advice that inspires you?
A favorite quote which inspires and guides us is, “To whom much is given, much is required.” Luke 12:48.  Be it by way of time, talent, or treasure, we all have meaningful gifts to share that can ultimately result in making a significant contribution to our school and greater community.
