Poetry Month

Lower School Boys dedicate the month of April to celebrating poetry! The lower school campus transforms into a literary land full of words, art, and performances inspired by poetry. April is National Poetry Month and the boys have a long-standing tradition of celebrating Poem in Your Pocket by hosting a poetry performance for all lower school boys' grades. The older boys create a poetry box that they distribute to local Chestnut Hill businesses. The boys drop their boxes filled with poems at stores, free for any shopper to take. The owners of the stores love having these poems on display, many of whom are connected to SCH Academy. Look for the poetry boxes on the Hill during our next Poetry Month!
