Creating Inclusive Communities
One of the highlights of Middle School at SCH is our unique AEIOU curriculum, which reflects SCH's missions to foster an inclusive community. AEIOU stand for Awareness, Empathy, Inclusion, Opportunity through differences, and Understanding. SCH believes strongly in celebrating diversity in all its forms and we recognize how important it is in today's world to consider other's perspectives. Students engage in regular advisory lessons that challenge them to explore complex backgrounds, values, identities, and perspectives in order to build empathy and awareness. This open dialogue and personal growth that results from evolving AEIOU is powerful.
