Activities

SCH's Middle School is organized into trimesters—September, November, February—marked with exams, holidays, or special events. This schedule prepares our students for an Upper School mindset, easing them in slowly.

Each trimester, a student may choose from approximately 10 to 15 different activities depending on the year. These activities allow students to explore a passion or interest they may have that falls outside of their course-work while also breaking up the day. Recent activity offerings include: Stop-Gap Animation, Student Council, Cooking, Improv Theater, Independent Science Experiments, Community Service, Student Newspaper, Chess, Hiking, Sustainability, Debate, Book Club, Chinese Calligraphy, and others depending on the trimester or interest.
