Girls Track & Field Team takes home Bronze Medal at Inter-Ac Championships

The Blue Devils took home 3 golds, 6 silvers, and 3 bronze individual medals to place 3rd as a team.

Ava Roberts and Sabria Epps led SCH Track & Field Team as both took home a gold and 2 silver medals. Ava won the javelin with a throw of 93-07, was 2nd in the shot with a 39-04, 2nd in the discus with a 92-06. Sabria won the 400 in 57.98, and finished 2nd in the 100 in 12.60 and the 200 in 26.41. The 3rd SCH gold went to Maya McDermott as she won the triple jump with a jump of 35-03. 

The Blue Devils placed 2nd in the 4 x 800 (Ella Woehlcke, Grace Hannigan, Ava DeLisle, Julia Thomson) in 9:56.98, but broke the school record with the time. Woehlcke also took 2nd in the 800 with a 2:19.87. 

Ella captured a bronze medal with a 5:09.13 in the 1600 while Jasmine Matthews also was awarded a 3rd place with a 37.24 in the 300 hurdles. Julania Marechal-Raymond, Maddie Peguero, Esther Lamb, and McDermott. finished the 100 relay in 3rd place with a 52.67.

The 4 x 400 crossed in 5th place and Matthews (200) and Marechal-Raymond (100 & 300 hurdles) also added team points with 6th places. A total of 12 Devils competed for SCH and their combined effort was good enough for a 3rd place finish. Congratulations!
