Girls Lacrosse go 1-1 on week

The girls lacrosse team defeated Baldwin 19-7 and lost a heartbreaker to Penn Charter 8-9 and sits at 5-6 in the Inter-Ac with one game left against Episcopal. The Blue Devils defeated Baldwin 19-7 with Brooke Prochniak and CeCe Reilly leading the offense with 5 goals each. Alex Reilly added a hat trick while Emma Bradbury scored twice with Hannah Knox, Caroline Reitmeyer, Maddy Caliendo, and Sarah Scollin all finding the back of the net once. Lucy Pearson stopped 9 shots in the 1st half and Shay Romero stopped 5 in the 2nd.

On Friday the Devils played a great game against a top-ranked Penn Charter team and nearly came away with the upset. The final was SCH 8, PC 9. The visiting Quakers lead 6-3 at the half but the hosts outscored PC 3-5 in the 2nd half. Pearson had a huge game as she stopped 13 shots, 8 of them in the 2nd half. 

Prochniak led all players with 3 goals while CeCe Reilly added 1 goal and 3 assists. Bradbury not only scored twice but controlled 6 draws. Brooke Gyllenhaal scored once and led the team with 3 ground balls. Alex Reilly added a goal as well as collecting 2 ground balls along with Knox.

Great job, Devils! All Inter-Ac teams will compete in a season-ending Inter-Ac Tournament beginning 5/18.
