Fall 2023 Sports Highlights

The Blue Devils ended the fall season with 26 athletes named to All-League and All-State teams. Sixteen seniors signed their National Letters of Intent to play at Division I and II institutions in November with more to follow in the new year. All of our student-athletes showcased their passion for their respective sports and celebrated many moments of victory this fall. Here are some highlights:

Football
Varsity Football finished the season with an 8-2 overall record (3-2 league) and made a run at the Inter-Ac title. The Devils were 2nd in the league, turning around a 0-5 season last year.

Girls Soccer
Girls Varsity Soccer tied for 2nd in the league with a record of 12-4-2 overall, 8-3-1 Inter-Ac. They lost in the semifinals of PAISAA to the eventual champions, Episcopal.

Boys Soccer
Boys Varsity Soccer tied for 3rd in the league with a 9-10-3 overall and 4-5-1 league record. They lost in the PAISAA quarterfinals to the eventual champions, Kiski.

Field Hockey
Varsity Field Hockey finished 4th in the league with a 9-8-1 overall and 4-5-1 Inter-Ac record. They lost in the quarterfinals of PAISAA to the eventual champions, Notre Dame. Junior field hockey goalkeeper Colleen Conlan tallied her 600th career save! 

Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf, Tennis
While the SCH varsity volleyball, cross country, golf, and tennis teams may not have achieved winning seasons this year, they demonstrated unwavering dedication, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the fall. Claire Lynch came in 9th at the PAISAA Cross Country race to earn 2nd team All-State.
