Athletes of the Week Ending April 25

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending April 25:

Brendan Dynan '28 - Lacrosse - Brendan has been a steady defensive leader all season. He recorded 17 saves while allowing just 10 goals against Haverford and followed that up with 15 saves and 14 goals allowed versus Malvern, consistently anchoring the defense with strong performances against nationally ranked teams. In his first year at SCH, he’s quickly established himself through a strong work ethic and commitment to improving every day, earning the trust of his teammates and coaches while stepping into a key leadership role on defense.

Sarah Scally '26 - Softball - Sarah, a senior and three-year captain, led the offense in a big 6-2 win over GA. She delivered at the plate with two hits, a walk, and a clutch three-run home run, finishing with a season-high four RBIs. With a .341 on-base percentage and a team-leading nine walks, Sarah continues to be a consistent force offensively. Behind the plate, she’s held the crucial role of starting catcher for the past four years, anchoring the team with leadership and experience. Congratulations on a great game, Sarah! Finish the season strong!

Alec Stewart '28 & Jimmy Talbot '26 - Tennis - Alec and Jimmy had an outstanding week, racking up multiple wins and showing great chemistry as a team. Together, they dominated LaSalle with an impressive 8-0 victory in an 8-game pro set. They carried that momentum into the George C. Shafer Doubles Tournament at EA, where they advanced to the semifinals of the 3rd doubles flight main draw before falling to the eventual champions from nationally ranked Delbarton. It’s exciting to see what these two can accomplish as they continue to grow together. Congratulations, boys!

Ryan Curtin '26 - Lacrosse - Ryan has been a positive source of energy since day one of preseason practice. She has always encouraged, supported, and positively influenced our team's culture. Recently, she embraced her new position as a midfielder and has been causing turnovers left and right on the field. She is consistently willing to take a risk, and she has been very coachable! Keep it up, Ryan!

Colin Golden '29 - Lacrosse - Colin tallied 5 goals and 3 assists in 2 OT losses last week for JV vs strong Haverford and Malvern teams. He puts in the extra work and effort in practices, and it pays off in games. Colin has a bright future with the Blue Devils!

Veronica Vinovich '29 - Softball - Veronica continues to be a dedicated and reliable player for the JV squad, consistently showing up ready to give her best at both practices and games. She stepped up in a big way at third base after some defensive adjustments, recording two impressive putouts. In center field, she also played a key role in a relay that led to a runner being thrown out at home. Veronica’s hard work and commitment are clearly paying off on the field! Keep up the great work!

Maeve McManus '31 - Lacrosse - Maeve has been the driving force in the MSG varsity midfield all season, taking nearly every draw and leading the team in scoring. Her fierce competitiveness sets the tone, pushing everyone around her to elevate their game. Way to go, Maeve!

MSG Penn Relay Team - Track - Eighth graders Ava Raby, Keira Evans, Ava Houston, and Aida Watt had a great race in the Philadelphia Area Private and Charter Schools 4x100m at Penn Relays last week! The girls finished in 4th place out of 8 with a 52.62, besting EA, GA, Westtown, and Girard. Additionally, they came in 2nd at Inter-Ac Champs this week! So proud of you all!
