Athletes of the Week Ending 9/4

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending September 4:

Finn Whittle ‘25 - Football - Finn had 16 carries for 120+ yards and a touchdown in Friday’s season opener vs Martin Luther King Jr. HS. Most impressively, he carried the ball 12 times for 92 yards in one series, traversing nearly the entire field for a 3rd quarter TD! Way to go, Finn!

Julia Thomson ‘23 - Soccer - Julia is a senior captain and defender, and had a goal in the team’s win over GFS on Friday and the game-winning goal against Summit Country Day School from Ohio on Saturday. Julia and the defense also secured shutouts in both games! Awesome!

Ryan Agnew '24 - Soccer - Beyond having his first career goal in the game, Ryan's energy was palpable not only on Friday but he's been a beacon of positivity since the start of pre-season. His work ethic on the JV squad is undeniable, and it was certainly present when he headed in the first goal of the new season. Well done and keep it going, Ryan!

Nadia Stockman '25 - Volleyball - Nadia was an unstoppable force in the JV game at ANC last Friday, no matter where she was positioned on the court. She made incredible plays and served to score points that helped bring us from behind to win. Nadia’s intensity, leadership, and love for the game are why she is our team's fearless leader. Great work, Nadia!

Annie Gu '23 - Tennis - Annie came to support the team for Friday’s varsity match against GFS though she wasn’t scheduled to play that day. One of her teammates started feeling ill, and Annie jumped right into her spot and played. This is the definition of a great team player! Thank you, Annie!
