The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 9/21:
Veronica Goettner '25 - Field Hockey - Veronica, a Quinnipiac University commit and team captain, scored the game-winning overtime goal vs Nichols School (NY) at the Max National HS Invitational on Saturday and was named a top performer for the tournament! She has tallied assists in multiple games so far this season, is an extremely selfless player, and gives 100% every day. We can’t wait to see more of her success!
Maddi Moynihan '28 - Volleyball - Maddi was flat-out incredible against a tough Notre Dame team on Friday. She started a dominant performance from the service with blistering jump serves that were nearly untouchable, she defended every ball that entered her zone and also attacked NDA from the back court, front court, left, and right sides. Maddi had an all-around incredible performance!
AJ Trunfio '26 - Soccer - AJ continuously showed up and showed out in a busy week for the Hillers that included 4 games. AJ's contribution on both sides of the ball encapsulates the value he brings to our team as a central midfielder. He started the week with the opening goal against FCS at the Main Line Jamboree Showcase (2-0 win) and ended it with the third goal against SLA in a 3-1 win, also adding an assist on the game-winner. We look forward to his contributions as we head toward Homecoming and the Inter-Ac season!
Ella Thomson '27 - Soccer - Ella has been great in the air for the Devils and has tallied more minutes on the pitch than any other varsity player this season. She is a vital part of the defense, she leads by example and is nearly unbeatable in 1v1 situations. Keep up the hard work, Ella!
Anav Edwards '27 - Soccer - Anav has been solid day in and day out for the JV Hillers, controlling the back line and keeping the team compact and controlled. His composure and calm demeanor make him a valuable asset on defense and we appreciate his daily effort!
Scarlett Evans '31 - Cross Country - Scarlett has been an excellent addition to the MSXC team this year, always on time and willing to work her hardest at each practice and meet. In addition, she placed 3rd in our first race of the season and 1st in our 2nd race. Way to go, Scarlett!
