Athletes of the Week Ending 4/27

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 4/27:

Rory Finn '24 - Baseball - Rory, a senior captain and University of Delaware signee, was 5 for 9 with 7 RBIs and 2 runs, a home run, and a double. He is an excellent leader, a great role model, and works hard to become a better player every day. We will miss Rory next year, but we know he has a tremendous career ahead of him with the Blue Hens! Good luck Rory!

Morgan Risnychok '25 - Softball - Morgan has been a great addition to the SCH varsity softball lineup this year. She covers a lot of ground at shortstop and makes strong throws to first from anywhere on the field. Morgan is always laser-focused in practice and works hard every day. Last week in our 2 games vs Baldwin she went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles and scored 4 times! She has had a hit in every game this season, and has an overall batting average of .567! Keep up the hard work, Morgan!

Asher Hawkins '27 - Tennis - Last week, Asher and his partner Cade Stone beat GA at 4th doubles 6-2 6-1, and then on Saturday he and partner David Xin won a round at the 3rd flight in the George L. Shafer doubles tournament over a very good team from Blair Academy. Asher can always be counted on to play wherever needed, and he consistently performs at a high level. Congratulations Asher!

Moe Sobel '27 - Lacrosse - Moe had 15 saves and only gave up 3 goals in the 5-2 JV victory over Haverford. The Devils can depend on him to give 100% in the goal, and he never hesitates to step into a varsity game whenever he is needed. Moe has a very bright future with the Blue Devil Lacrosse program!

Courtney Williams '24 - Softball - Courtney has worked hard over four years to improve her level of play on the softball field. She started with no prior playing experience and now makes routine catches in the outfield! In the JV game vs Notre Dame she also had 3 hits! Congrats, Courtney!

Ali Norcini '28 - Softball - Ali stepped up into a new position at pitcher last week for the varsity squad and had a fantastic game against Baldwin. She pitched 4 innings, had 5 strikeouts, and only gave up 1 run in the big victory for the Blue Devils. Keep up the amazing pitching, Ali!

Lily McManus '28 - Lacrosse -  Lily, known for her outstanding defense, also had a big impact on our varsity game offensively vs Notre Dame, scoring a goal and adding an assist. She also secured 3 Blue Devil possessions from caused turnovers in the 9-4 victory. Congratulations Lily!

Evelyn Cantlin '28 - Lacrosse - Evelyn had two outstanding games last week. She scored 2 goals in the JV game and added another as a swing player in the varsity game vs Notre Dame. Evelyn scored again and 2 caused turnovers in the JV Episcopal game as well! Congratulations on a fantastic week, Evelyn!
